Kristina Henn—Founder and Personal Travel Concierge
I’ve been on the move since I was two, calling Italy, Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria, and the U.S. home and traveling through more than 50 countries along the way. Growing up between cultures taught me how powerful travel can be when it’s intentional, welcoming, and beautifully organized. I know what it feels like to land somewhere new and have no idea how to navigate the unknown. Let me help you with this challenge.
Today, we partner with both private travelers and mission-driven organizations to design journeys that feel good and do good. Working with nonprofits turned out to be a natural fit: I love helping teams translate their mission into meaningful donor trips, auction packages, and volunteer travel that are thoughtful for travelers and respectful of local communities. My role is to ask the right questions, make the logistics seamless, and make sure every journey supports the story they want to tell.
I founded Glass Half Full Travel to bring all of this together: thoughtful design, meaningful connection, and seamless logistics. Whether I’m curating a river cruise, a family gathering, or a nonprofit donor trip, my goal is the same: to design and orchestrate exceptional, feel-good travel for people who want luxury, impact, and zero stress… always with a glass-half-full mindset.
Selina Henn—Social Impact and Partnerships Manager
I’m the person who keeps an eye on the impact side of our journeys. At Glass Half Full Travel, I focus on how our nonprofit partnerships, donor trips, and “travel that gives back” experiences can be inspiring for travelers and genuinely supportive of the communities we visit.
My background is in corporate social responsibility, youth leadership, and climate-focused initiatives, and I’ve spent years working with organizations that care about social change. That experience shapes the questions I ask when we design a trip: Who benefits? How are local partners involved? How can this journey reflect our travelers’ values in a real, tangible way?
I bring that lens into every itinerary we design—asking who benefits, how partnerships are built, and how each journey can align with our travelers’ values. Whether we’re shaping a donor trip, a board retreat, or a purpose-driven group experience, my goal is the same: to ensure our exceptional, feel-good travel is genuinely thoughtful and impact-driven for people who want luxury, impact, and zero stress… always with a glass-half-full mindset.
Carole Shankle—Client Relations and Travel Consultant
I’m the person you’ll most likely meet across a table at a gala or auction, the one who loves hearing about your dream trip and helping you figure out which journey is the best fit. At Glass Half Full Travel, I focus on client conversations: answering questions, walking you through our itineraries, and making sure you feel confident and excited about the travel experience you’re bidding on or booking.
As a Vacation Consultant with Expedia Cruises in Palm Desert, I work every day with cruises, land vacations, and group trips, so I’m used to sorting through options and finding the right match for each traveler. I bring that same expertise to our nonprofit auctions and events, explaining what’s included, how the trip works, and how we take care of the details behind the scenes.
Whether we’re chatting at a fundraiser, on the phone, or over email, my goal is simple: to connect you with exceptional, feel-good travel that feels like the perfect fit for people who want luxury, impact, and zero stress… always with a glass-half-full mindset.
David Jäkle—Marketing and Business Manager
Background in IT and Business, formerly at SAP SE
I’m the person who makes sure the story behind our trips is as thoughtfully designed as the journeys themselves. With a background in marketing and writing, I love turning big ideas into clear, simple experiences from the moment you discover Glass Half Full Travel to the moment you step onto a ship, into a villa, or off a plane somewhere new.
At GHF Travel, I focus on the “behind the scenes” details that keep everything running smoothly: how we communicate, how we shape our offers, and how easy it feels for you to plan something special without adding more to your plate. I’m especially excited about helping our nonprofit partners design donor trips, auction packages, and impact-focused journeys that are both compelling to travelers and aligned with their mission.
Whether I’m refining a landing page, mapping a client journey, or crafting the next email you’ll open with a smile, my goal is the same: to make exceptional, feel-good travel feel simple, clear, and accessible for people who want luxury, impact, and zero stress… always with a glass-half-full mindset.
