Why I started Glass Half Full Travel: Blending Travel and Purpose
My family would call me a professional nomad.
From living in over 6 countries while growing up to traveling through more than 50 as an adult, I’ve been fortunate to explore many parts of the world and gain exposure to many different cultures. My “nomadic” life has shown me something profound: travel changes us. It expands our perspective, deepens our empathy, and creates connections that linger long after the magnets are placed on the fridge. But beyond the memories that travel leaves us with, I saw the potential of something more. I wanted to blend my love of travel with purposeful outcomes to build experiences richer in impact, connection, and purpose. That’s how Glass Half Full Travel was born.
Travel with Purpose
From the start, my vision wasn’t just to plan incredible trips — it was to design experiences that matter. I believe travel should be thoughtfully curated, not pulled from a brochure, and it should reflect who you are and what you care about. I believe travel can be a catalyst for good — especially for organizations and teams striving to make a difference. That’s where purpose meets planning. This is why we:
1. Partner with nonprofits to fuel their missionNonprofit teams are doing incredible work every day. But fundraising and donor engagement can be tough. I saw a powerful opportunity to help organizations raise funds and deepen relationships with their supporters by designing travel experiences that reflect their mission and values. Today, we work with nonprofits to create:
auction-ready travel packages to raise funds,
donor, board and volunteer trips to combine mission and experiences,
signature experiences to help communities connect in meaningful ways.
Our goal is always the same: help nonprofits strengthen engagement, inspire generosity, and make lasting impact — all while lessoning the operational burden to your team.
2. Help companies travel with meaning
Impact isn’t just for nonprofits. Today’s organizations want travel that aligns with their values — whether it’s corporate retreats, leadership summits, or team-bonding experiences. This is where corporate social responsibility (CSR) and travel come together. We design experiences that can help build connections among teams, reflect company values and support corporate goals for social impact.
Travel becomes more than a trip — it becomes part of your story as a purpose-driven organization.
3. Plan signature trips curated to your needs
We also love helping private travelers bring their travel dreams to life. We are a travel consultancy at our core, so we welcome any type of traveler to work with us in planning the perfect trip. From solo travelers to special interest groups, we strive to curate luxury experiences that are fit to your needs.
Whether that’s discovering the hidden gems of a new city to sailing a tranquil river, or spending time with a local community, our journeys are built around connection and intention – all while providing concierge-level support from beginning to end.
A Glass-Half-Full Mindset
Glass Half Full Travel isn’t just a travel agency — it’s a philosophy. We believe in intentional journeys, human connection, and travel that leaves the world a little better than we found it. Whether you’re a family exploring new horizons, a nonprofit seeking fresh ways to connect with supporters, or a corporation ready to weave impact into corporate culture, we’re here to design travel that feels good and does good, ensuring you always keep your glass half full.
